Locally grown in Battle Lake! John graduated from BL High School in 2001, then attended St Johns University (Collegeville, MN) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2005 with a focus in Business Management and Communications. 

Shortly after graduation he took his first job as a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker. He then moved to Luhman in Fergus Falls. After one year in the real estate business in 2006, he quickly realized it was a bad time to be a new agent. He moved to Kansas City where he took a job in enterprise software. But obviously he missed Minnesota so he made his way back to Minneapolis, working from home while still traveling for a Microsoft partner. 

After 4 years in the big city he returned to “God’s Country”, aka Battle Lake. During all of this work and moving he finally convinced his high school sweetheart, Ashley, to move back to Minnesota and get married. They currently reside in BL and have two wonderful children: Ezra(9) and Isla (6 months). 

 John has always been interested in building, remodeling, and the selling of houses so he went back to get his RE license in 2021. He had a short stint with a Brainerd RE office, but knew the best fit was his local office with Weichert- PLC.

In his first year back he completed 7 transactions and is hoping for continued success with the awesome Weichert team in Battle Lake.
